Belle Badell - Dance Educator
Born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela, Belle has always had a passion for dancing. The spark for dance started when she won a dance contest in a circus when she was only 6 years old. Unfortunately, Belle did not have the resources to pursue any dancing instruction as she was growing up. However, she knew that one day she
would be on stage, dancing her heart away!
Years went by and Belle moved to the United States. She became a teacher and has taught for over 23 years. Belle's teaching experience includes all grade levels and many
subjects in public school systems in Florida and Texas as well as in the International School in Caracas, Venezuela. In 1995, Belle also became a group fitness instructor
and worked after school teaching several different fitness class formats.
Belle's passion for salsa dancing only grew with time. Eventually, she came across a local salsa school in Tampa, Florida. Excitedly, she began taking Cuban Rueda dancing
and quickly became an elite dancer as well as an assistant instructor. Then she began taking "New York On 1" style salsa dancing and "New York On 2" style mambo dancing.
Belle was elated to have the opportunity to learn salsa dancing, as well as to be around other dancers who share the same passion.
Belle is currently attending Hillborough Community College's dance program, taking belly dance classes and going for a new and fun challenge: aereal fitness! She is continuously taking workshops in Latin dances and dance technique (including belly dance and modern).
Belle has taught Cardio Salsa classes at the Carillon Wellness Center in St. Petersburg, Florida. She always works diligently to create an atmosphere of comfort and fun
for all of her participants. What Belle did not realize is that her teaching skills and extensive teaching experience paired with a burning passion for dance were going to lead her into salsa dance instruction. Salsa4u was born as part of this yearning to pursue her most precious dream: dance, dance, dance!
Belle Badell's mission through Salsa4u is to instill a love and appreciation for salsa dance. She believes that every person can find his/her "Inner Latino". This
inner self is burning with desire to move to Latin rhythms and have lots of fun. Come and experience the dance. Warning... you may get hooked!
